Terms of Use

These terms govern access to the Consilium Cobalt public website and private-beta workspace. Access to the workspace is limited to approved users and may be governed by additional written terms with their organization.

What Consilium provides

Consilium Cobalt is legal-analysis and case-preparation software. It can organize evidence, preserve source references, compare records, support legal research, and prepare reviewable work product. It does not independently create an attorney-client relationship, appear in court, file or serve documents, sign for a user, or replace the professional judgment and duties of a licensed attorney.

User responsibilities

Users must have authority to upload and process material, protect account credentials, verify important findings against cited sources, comply with court rules and professional duties, and complete human review before relying on or distributing work product. Users may not use the service to violate law, impair another system, upload malicious code, misrepresent generated work as independently verified, or access a matter without authorization.

Evidence and generated work

Original evidence remains distinct from derived artifacts. OCR, transcripts, timelines, summaries, correlations, legal-research leads, and reports may contain errors or unresolved questions. A citation, confidence label, or model output is not a substitute for checking the underlying evidence and current legal authority.

Private beta and availability

The service is under active development. Features may change, fail, or be unavailable. Consilium may suspend access to protect evidence, accounts, infrastructure, or other users. No uninterrupted or error-free operation is promised during the private beta.

Confidentiality and security

Users must evaluate whether the service is appropriate for privileged, confidential, sealed, regulated, or legally restricted material. Security concerns should be reported through the published security contact and not tested against another user’s data or matter.

Billing

Live billing is currently disabled. If paid plans are introduced, the price, renewal interval, taxes, cancellation procedure, refund terms, and payment provider will be disclosed before a user authorizes a charge. No current private-beta page authorizes Consilium to charge a visitor.

Contact and changes

Questions may be sent to contact@consiliumcobalt.com. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page.
